The corporate media unimpressively gathers and presents COVID data, with almost no proper random sampling of the population. They are more interested in riling us all up than communicating the situation rationally. "Follow the science" means nothing without clearly stated goals and an honest risk assessment.
It would seem this graph is the best way to track overall safety with the known data. This example shows California cases and deaths each day, with a 3 week shift to the left for deaths (and its own axis) so that the trends align. This allows a more clear understanding of whether the deaths are following the cases. Notice the recent break in trends. Currently, in Cali, deaths are not spiking like they have before. Simple.
